FAQ's
Why did climbforestclimb start?
One of the first plants I bought was a Monstera Deliciosa, at the time I had no idea how big and unruly this plant would get. Unsatisfied with the performance of traditional moss poles I went down the rabbit hole researching a better alternative, enter coconut coir. I handmade the first one in my garage in downtown Toronto and haven't stopped making them since.
Are all the coir poles handmade?
Yup
Is coconut coir sustainable?
Absolutely! Want to learn more? Check out this link to a more in depth explanation https://climbforestclimb.ca/blogs/news/what-is-coconut-coir
How do I get the plant to climb?
The coir pole offers a nice uneven surface with lots of gaps for roots to work into. All poles come with jute string as well as wire ties to help coax the plant along, your plant will do the rest!
Is your packaging sustainable?
Yes, we have it printed and designed locally. We use cardboard packaging that is fully recyclable.
Why a coconut coir climbing pole instead of moss climbing pole?
